Alliance Hospitality Inc a progressive management company based in Columbus, Ohio, will be building the first new hotel in New Philadelphia, Ohio in nine years.

Alliance Hospitality Inc., operates the current Holiday Inn New Philadelphia, soon this hotel will be demolished and a state of the art Holiday Inn Express will be constructed in its place.  The hotel will be a four story high rise building, replacing the current two story Holiday Inn.

The new hotel will have 82 rooms and suites as well at meeting space for 45 people in the main building.  The breakdown of the rooms and suites will be as follows, 36 rooms with one king size bed, 28 rooms with two queen sized beds, and 18 spacious suites.

The hotel will also have an indoor pool, workout facility, and offer a free hot breakfast buffet with a rotating menu that includes famous Holiday Inn Express Cinnamon Rolls.

The existing restaurant building will remain and a national chain restaurant will be obtained as a tenant. The current conference space of 10,000 square feet will remain and the hotel will be able to host business meeting, social functions and wedding receptions ranging in size from 25 to 400 during the renovation.

This is not the only new development for New Philadelphia, Ohio, hotels.  The Super 8 Hotel, also managed by Alliance Hospitality Inc., will be enlarged. 27 additional rooms will be added bringing the total room count to 69 rooms.  The Super 8 will also have its own indoor pool.

Naresh Patel, a long time New Philadelphia resident and President/CEO of Alliance Hospitality Inc., is excited to begin this project in New Philadelphia.

“The Holiday Inn New Philadelphia is a landmark. Alliance Hospitality Inc., has been diligent in maintaining and improving the hotel, however to continue to be a market leader and to ensure New Philadelphia has a first class lodging establishment we are going to build an entirely new property, not just renovate the existing asset,” says Mr. Patel.

Naresh Patel is also committed to using local contractors for the construction of the Holiday Inn Express where possible.  He has been contacting local contractors to solicit bids, however if any local contractors would like to be considered, please contact Denene Ayres at Denene.ayres@ahihotels.com or 614-846-6600 extension 0.

“The Patel Family, long time owners of the Holiday Inn, are strong community supporters,” commented Dee Grossman, Executive Director of the Tuscarawas County Convention and Visitors Bureau. ”They are visionary in their approach to lodging ownership and are usually on the cutting edge of design.  From the splitting of the original Holiday Inn with a Super 8 (something not seen in Ohio at that time) to keeping the indoor pool with the Super 8 (again not usually seen), the Holiday Inn Express will be a welcome addition to the tourism product in Tuscarawas County.”

Jill McCartney, President/CEO of the Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce also noted, “The Tuscarawas County Chamber of Commerce congratulates Alliance Hospitality Inc. and Mr. Patel on their development in Tuscarawas County as well as their support and commitment to use local contractors.”
